The four-year project EUCLID will formally conclude in November 2019. The main results were discussed in two days of meetings held last September at University of Avignon, France.
On Wednesday September 11 the activities opened with a Workshop specifically designed for farmers, advisors and SMEs, in order to transfer the IPM technologies developed in the project. Novelties produced in EUCLID in terms of non-chemical pesticides were presented and discussed with the audience. In addition, tools for supporting knowledge and decisions by farmers on the technologies to apply in order to fight pests were tested with the participants.
The following day, Thursday September 12 the Final Conference took place as a public event featuring the main EUCLID outputs. A final roundtable with key stakeholders was organised to discuss the impacts in the areas addressed by the project, including management of pests and invasive alien species, development of relevant EU policies, increased product quality and lower environmental impact, consumers' awareness and attitude toward IPM. Poster presentation and networking lunch were part of the programme.
