Imperial College London is one of Europe’s premier technical universities.  The Centre for Environmental Policy provides a unique research interface between science, technology and the economic and policy context related to the environment. It focuses on environmental and development issues, including energy, pollution, resource conservation, food security and poverty reduction.

The Environmental Security and Governance Group works on biosecurity, land use policy and food security issues and links between them. It is an interdisciplinary team of entomologists, plant pathologists, ecologists, and environmental social scientists with a common interest in predictive science, risk assessment and public policy development. Applied research involves

1) toolkits and empirical evidence for policymakers to make effective decisions,

2) concepts and debates to frame and justify policy reform,

3) an impact on policy and international regulation through advocacy and argument informed by research.
